This year’s Executive Hire Show - the UK’s tool and general rental exhibition - was held at the Coventry Building Society Arena earlier his week. While it was generally busy, there was a distinct lack of access and lifting related products on show. However, those that were there did have some interesting products to discuss.
These included the launch of Axolift’s first self-propelled scissor lift, the 13ft P300T with a working height of 4.95 metres, platform capacity of 240kg and an overall weight of 430kg. Features include a battery charge indicator, forklift pockets and 35 percent gradeability. It can also switch between push-around and self-propelled modes. The 24 volt battery is said to provide up to eight hours of continuous operation.

The Magni stand featured the company’s new compact telehandler - unveiled at Intermat last year. The 3,000kg/5.8 metre TH3.6 has a forward reach of 3.2 metres, an overall length of 3.7 metres without forks, an overall width of 1.81 metres and is 1.94 metres high. Power comes from a Deutz diesel, providing maximum travel speed of 35kph. Total weight is 4,850kg.

Several of the access exhibits were positioned outside the front of the show, these included Leguan’s new 26.5 metre 265 spider lift, making its UK debut, alongside a 45ft JCB A45E articulated boom lift, and Oil & Steel’s Octoplus 17 spider lift.
