200t Sennebogen telecrawler

Sennebogen will launch its largest telescopic crawler crane to date at Bauma in April, the 200 tonne 6203 E.

The new crane has a six section 56.4 metre pinned boom to which extensions of up to 21.6 metres can be added for an 81 metre maximum tip height. The boom can be pinned with each section at 90 percent of full extension for greater overlaps between section and therefore substantial improvements in capacity and boom rigidity. The new crane also has load charts for working up to four degrees off level.

The crane has a transport width of three metres with out tracks, once assembled they extend to variable working widths from 3.5 to six metres, with standard one metre wide double grouser track pads. For more sensitive surfaces, durable polyamide pads are available as an option. The base and weight distribution enable it to pick & carry its full load chart through 360 degrees.

Power comes from a Stage V diesel that is HVO ready. The main and auxiliary winches are driven by high pressure variable displacement hydraulic motors, with single line speeds of up to 115 metres a minute.

The new crane also features the company’s Maxcab cab, which can not only be tilted by 20 degrees for a better view of high loads but can also be equipped with an optional hydraulic elevation that provides a viewing height of 5.7 metres and 30 degrees of tilt. Cameras to the rear and to the right extend the operator's field of vision, while completely revised the new Sen-Con load control system, features a dedicated display screen which provides all operating data including diagnostic data and engine information. A separate screen displays the load charts, boom telescope programmes and load moment information, including a real time ground pressure display.

The 6203 E has been designed with applications such as heavy precast concrete assembly, bridge and infrastructure construction in mind as well as an auxiliary crane on wind turbine installation.

Managing director Erich Sennebogen said: “ One market trend that we are now observing is the growing demand for large telescopic crawler cranes. To meet this demand, we are now expanding our range significantly upwards. pre¬des¬tined for heavy pre¬cast con¬crete as¬sem¬bly, bridge and in¬fra¬struc¬ture con¬struc¬tion. The us the 10th telescopic crawler crane model in our range and demonstrates our focus on this market.”

A Grove version of the 200 tonner for North American has already been shipped to the Manitowoc/Grove plant in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania and is currently on test, prior to a North American launch.
Finally, Sennebogen will also launch as new six tonne heavy duty telehandler – but more on that later.
