The Hire 25 exhibition opened yesterday in Melbourne, Victoria, with a steady start as delegates moved between the conference area, other events and the show floor.
The consensus on the current Australian equipment market is that has been slow thanks to the global economic uncertainties and the recent general election which has slowed infrastructure investments etc.. but most thought the second half would be better.

The day’s events ended with ‘An evening with Kylie Moore-Gilbert’, a locally based Australian-British academic, who while attending a conference in 2018 was imprisoned in an Iranian high security prison for more than two years and held for most of it in solitary confinement. On here release in a three way prisoner exchange she wrote a book The Uncaged Sky: My 804 Days in an Iranian Prison.
