New COO for Wilkerson

US based Wilkerson Crane Rental has promoted Larry Smith to chief operating officer. He joined the company as a crane operator back in 2014 and then moved on to become a sales estimator in mid-2019 and then last July he was promoted to general manager. In his new, expanded role he will oversee all sales and operations functions, with a brief to ‘enhance customer service and drive continued growth for Wilkerson Crane Rental’.

Chief executive Cody Ward said: “Larry’s commitment to Wilkerson Crane Rental is evident in the way he consistently steps up to meet challenges, exceed expectations, and support both our team and our customers. From his early roles as an operator to his most recent position as general manager, Larry has demonstrated professionalism, vision and results driven leadership every step of the way.”

Wilkerson Crane Rental was established 13 years ago and is located in Bonner Springs, Kansas, on the western edge of Kansas City. It offers both bare and operated crane rental, heavy hauling, equipment servicing, and short-term storage services to clients in construction, energy, infrastructure and other industries. Earlier this year it acquired St Joseph, Missouri based Ideal Crane and has plans for further growth.
