BP Trinidad & Tobago has agreed a two year extenson of EnerMech's crane operations contract covering 12 offshore platforms in the Caribbean.
EnerMech secured the contract in 2022, which includes crane operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, minor modifications, offshore audits, onshore technical support, health and safety training as well as planning support.
Around 30 EnerMech personnel - who of whom are Trinidad and Tobago nationals are employed as supervisors, crane operators, technicians and supply chain and logistics staff.
Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, EnerMech was established in 2008 by former PSL owners Doug Duguid, Michael Buchan, Derek Grant and Phil Bentley with a combined capital investment of more than £30 million from the four shareholders and private equity firm Lime Rock Partners. Today it provides a wide range of mechanical and electric services for the offshore, transport and infrastructure sectors, including crane rental, servicing and repairs etc from locations in the UK, Norway, Africa, the Americas, Australasia, the Caspian region and the Middle East.
