150t telecrawler for LJP

Canadian contractor LJP Construction - or Les Constructions LJP to give it its formal name - has taken delivery of a 150 tonne Liebherr LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane.

The new crane joins a 60 tonne LTR 1060 telescopic crawler in the company’s extensive equipment fleet.

The LTR 1150, launched in 2023, features a six section 52 metre main boom topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold lattice swingaway extension which can be further extended with two seven metre lattice extensions for a maximum tip height of 88 metres. The crane can be transported with tracks in place on a low loader with a maximum transport width of 3.5 metres.

Operations manager Axel Côté said: “When Liebherr launched the LTR 1150 onto the market, we instantly knew that it would fit our fleet perfectly. We already have an LTR 1060 and we’re very happy with it. To handle the growing demands, however, the 150 tonner will be the perfect addition to our fleet. Thanks to its impressive load charts, it can carry out a wide range of our lifts and yet is compact and flexible when it comes to moving around on site. The crane is perfect for our type of work.”

”The VarioBase technology also helped with our purchasing decision, giving us the very best capacities for the actual track width and slew angle.”

It also has a fleet of at least a dozen mobile cranes, including All Terrains, City cranes, Rough Terrains and telecrawlers.
