Frist new spiders off to India

Italian spider lift manufacturer Easy Lift is shipping the first 20 units of its new 30 metre lithium powered RA31 BA spider lifts - shown at GIS last month - to India.
The new RA31 BA is basically a lithium battery powered version of its standard RA31 spider lift.

The project was instigated by a request from its distributor in India, sales and rental company MtandT, which wanted a fully electric RA31 to meet growing demand for environmentally friendly equipment, as well as convert a specific enquiry into an order. 10 units of the new RA31 BA will join MtandT’s rental fleet, while the other 10 have been sold to rental group Sanghvi Movers.

Most of the specification remains the same as the regular RA31 with a 30.2 metre working height, a maximum outreach of 14.5 metres with an up & over clearance of 15 metres and a total weight of 2,100kg. The lift can also reach seven metres below ground level.

The lithium battery pack is said to be more than sufficient for a full days work, and boasts fast recharging times, while being able to use the platform while recharging.
Easy Lift adds that 26 metre version of this machine is currently in development.
