Irish forklift manufacturer Combilift has marked the production of its 100,000th forklift by raising and donating €100,000 to Unicef Ireland’s Children’s Emergency Fund.
To commemorate the milestone, Combilift launched a competition, offering the 100,000th three tonne Combi-CBE multidirectional forklift in golden coloured livery as the prize. The campaign generated €56,500 in ticket sales, with Combilift topping up the total to €100,000.

Combilift chief executive Martin McVicar said: “This campaign was designed not only to celebrate a major manufacturing achievement for Combilift, but also to make a meaningful difference beyond the factory floor. By supporting Unicef, we are supporting one of the world’s most effective humanitarian organisations.”

Unicef Ireland's head of corporate partnerships, Owen Buckley added: “As we enter the winter season, our priority is ensuring children affected by war and natural disasters have access to warm clothing, safe shelter and continued education. This generous contribution from Combilift will help Unicef respond quickly to urgent needs.”
The winning ticket was bought by Kareen Farrell, who travelled to Monaghan to collect the Combi-CBE ‘Golden Forklift’ which was unveiled at the IMHX Exhibition in Birmingham, England in September.

Farrell said: “I was absolutely delighted when I heard I had won. My dad shared the competition details and bought a ticket to support Unicef because it’s a children’s charity that helps children all over the world, so winning the forklift was an incredible bonus.”
Combilift was founded in 1998 and is based in Monaghan, Ireland, employing around 650 people. The company specialises in multidirectional and customised materials handling solutions, supplying customers in around 85 countries.
