Changes at Tadano UK

Tadano will move its UK operations to a new facility near to its existing base in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, at the end of this year. It has signed a 10 year lease on the new building and yard, but the company has not said whether it is larger, more modern or smaller. UK business leader Lloyd Gee-Nyland is also stepping down from his role, officially at the end of this year, after three years with the company.

Tadano says that it is recruiting a 'regional leader' to cover the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium. The UK operation covering sales, service, parts and various technical roles in the UK and Ireland currently numbers 22 and, going forward, will handle most of the day to day decisions and organisation through greater delegation.

Tadano says the new UK facility is part of a wider investment plan, with €100 million already invested in its German facilities at Zweibrücken and Lauf over the past two years. A repair facility at Zweibrücken opened in 2025, and a European spare parts centre at Lauf is due to be fully operational this autumn.

The company added: “The new facility, strengthened local organisation, and continued investment reflect Tadano’s confidence in the UK and Republic of Ireland markets and its long term commitment to supporting customers in the region.”

Tadano inherited the current UK operation with the Demag acquisition in 2019 and merged the Demag and Tadano UK facilities into Long Crendon the following year. Terex Demag took over the all-new 2,100 square metre facility in 2007, moving in the following year.
