Received from one of our readers a fair few soldiers using their truck mounted crane as a prop for a group photograph. How many? You count them.
We have no idea when or where this taken, it looks like the UK, and at a guess it was just after the war or in the early 1950s.
It would of course sail through as a Death Wish, but in the words of our correspondent: ”This is clearly dangerous and foolhardy but... It was a long time ago when things were different.. and they were being asked to do far more dangerous things than this. So over to you.”
Thanks!
We will pop it into both Death Wish and Historic data bases. As to how many Soldiers are on the crane? We make it 22.
Have a safe and happy weekend

I agree - I think you took the comentary the wrong way around.. By the way it is, perhaps, worth reminding that we do not know when exactly it was taken, but I also think it was not so long after the war.
Chief
Editor. For goodness sake catch yourself on. This is defiantly not a death wish item.
We were just after a war in which tens of millions were killed, probably including some of the comrades of these guys. I'm sure none of them had a "death wish"
Even to suggest it shows a complete disrespect for the brave men and women who were and are still prepared to give all for their country.
