Oz Lifting president Steve Napieralski said: “There are many police departments that would love to have a dog on staff but cannot afford the upfront cost. My wife, Jane, and I felt this was another way to give back to the community.”
Ozkar graduated from the training programme earlier this year
Police departments interested in next year's programme can send a request to Oz Lifting outlining how the dog would serve their community.
Headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, Oz Lifting manufactures lifting products and solutions for applications in construction, oil & gas, aviation and mining.
