Terex appoints AI officer

Terex has appointed Namita Jindal as chief AI and data officer. She joins the company from software development company CentralSquare Technologies where she has been chief information officer for the past four years.

She will report directly to Terex chief executive Simon Meester, serving the company’s executive leadership team.

Jindal began her career in 2002 as a solutions developer with Indian financial services company Subh Santosh Buildwell. The following year, she joined retail company Shahi Exports as a software developer, a role she held for nearly two years. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to become a principal consultant for IT services company Keane India.

In 2006, she chose to become an independent consultant before relocating to Ohio 18 months later, to join financial services company Alliance Data as a services leader. In 2010, she moved to electronics manufacturing company Honeywell as chief information officer, where she remained for more than 11 years, before relocating to Florida and began work with CentralSquare Technologies.

In addition to her new position at Terex, she serves on the boards of several organisations, including IT consulting company Vation Ventures, information company Central Florida CIO and coaching company Evanta. She also joined the board of private equity firm Bain Capital Ventures four months ago.
