JLG remote assistance tool
JLG has launched its ‘Virtual Remote Assistant’, a technical support tool that allows its support team to connect with technicians in the field through live video on a smartphone.
The tool - currently only available in North America - allows JLG support staff to see the machine from the technician’s point of view and provide guidance in real time. The system works through a link sent by text or email and does not require an app download.
Director of customer support, Travis Myers said: “Every minute of downtime impacts productivity and profitability. The Virtual Remote Assistant allows our team to see exactly what technicians are seeing, enabling faster diagnosis, clearer guidance and more efficient resolution of service issues.”
