Chinese manufacturer Sany has promoted Philip Boddy to global product director telehandlers, having been a product manager for the past five and a half years. At the same time, it has announced the promotion of Christopher Jarvis to head of telehandler sales for the UK & Ireland, having been sales manager for the past two and a half years.
Phil Boddy Phillip Boddy began his working life in 1992 as a lance corporal in the British Army, leaving in 1999 to work for transport company Leedale as an HGV truck driver delivering portable cabins and storage containers. Two years later, he moved to the mining company Viaton Industries as a construction equipment operator. In 2003, he joined JCB, starting out on the telehandler production line and progressing through the organisation to quality inspector, pre-delivery team leader, senior product specialist, and sales manager for access and 360 degree telehandlers, leaving for Sany in 2020.
Christopher Jarvis started out in 2008 when he began working full time in the family farming business, MC&M Jarvis, overseeing operations across 1,000 acres and four farms. He left in 2015 to join Oxfordshire Construction as a project consultant, leaving after four years for TGS Attachment Engineering, where he worked as a sales manager until 2022, when he joined Sany as national sales manager key accounts.

Sany said: “Philip has played a pivotal role in the development and rollout of Sany’s diverse and growing telehandler range, helping establish new industry benchmarks in performance, operator comfort, and safety.”
Adding: “Chris has been instrumental in strengthening Sany’s telehandler presence in the UK, contributing to the successful introduction of several models ranging from compact six metre units to high reach 18 metre machines.”
