Second 450 for Wiesbauer

German crane rental company Wiesbauer has taken delivery of its second 450 tonne Tadano AC 7.450-1 All Terrain crane.

The seven axle AC 7.450-1 features a seven section 80 metre main boom and can also be equipped with extensions up to 59 metres for a 130 metre tip height, 56 metres of combined extension and fixed offset jib for a 133 metre tip height, or an 81 metre luffing jib combined with the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system for a similar tip height. The maximum counterweight is 150 tonnes. It is also equipped with Tadano's 'Surround View' system that employs six cameras to create a computer-aided display in the operator's cab, showing the maximum possible outrigger extension at the crane’s current position, and thus achieve the largest possible base and therefore optimum load chart for that location.
The new crane is the second unit in the company's fleet, joining the very first AC 7.450-1 to be delivered.

Managing director, Florian Wiesbauer, said: “The AC 7.450-1 is definitely a significantly more powerful alternative to other six axle cranes currently on the market. Especially since we often work on confined construction sites, this system is extremely helpful: it supports us in positioning the crane quickly and safely in the optimal way.”

Former Tadano sales manager, Michael Zieger also attended the handover, having initiated the original sale before his retirement. The delivery comes only a few months after the company added a fourth 300 tonne Grove to its fleet.

Based north of Stuttgart in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Wiesbauer runs a fleet of All Terrain, truck mounted and trailer cranes as well as loader cranes, for customers working on industrial, construction and infrastructure projects across Baden-Württemberg.
