Collé acquires Cito

Dutch international rental group Collé Rental & Sales has acquired the business assets of Danish rental company Cito.

It includes six locations on Jutland - Viborg, Grenaa, Holstebro, Skanderborg, Randers and Hvam – the rental fleet, which includes trailer lifts, booms, scissors, spider lifts and truck mounts, along with telehandlers, site cabins and general construction equipment and the customer base. All Cito employees are expected to transfer to Collé Denmark.

Collé Denmark currently operates from two locations, having opened its first location in April 2022 in the city of Odense on the central island of Funen, adding a second location in Karlslunde on the south side of Copenhagen at the start of 2024. The acquisition makes it a truly national player, while adding an experienced local team.
The Cito business and brand will be absorbed into Collé business over the next year or two.

Raf Tripaldelli, who heads Collé’s Danish operations, said: "We extend a very warm welcome to the employees of Cito as they join the Collé organisation. This acquisition significantly strengthens our position in Denmark. Both Cito and Collé customers will benefit from our extensive, combined machine portfolio and a nationwide delivery capacity."

Johnni Næsted of Cito added: "I am very pleased with this acquisition. As part of Collé Rental & Sales, our branches will see significantly more opportunities. We gain access to a substantially larger range of machinery and can leverage the scale of a strong international organisation, while maintaining our dedicated local approach."

Collé Rental & Sales is based in Sittard on the Dutch German border, north of Maastricht, and also operates from branches across the Benelux countries, Germany and Denmark. This acquisition takes the number of locations to 30. Its 30,000 unit strong rental fleet includes a wide range of general equipment, but a significant proportion of its revenues comes from powered access and telehandlers, along with spider cranes, trailer cranes and mini crawlers.
