The Vertikal team was on the ground last week at the Apex trade show, meeting exhibitors and visitors throughout the event. Held once every three years, the show took place at the MECC exhibition centre in Maastricht, the Netherlands. This is the first of several pictorial overviews we will publish, as well as a comprehensive review in our next issue of Cranes & Access.

Zoomlion's new safety helmet with sensors on the back, front and top, to potects from overhead obstacles, and front mounted camera. Battery life is around 2-3 days on a single charge

The company also demonstrated an app that lets users scan a QR code to view a computer-generated model of a Motelift machine allowing them to virtually walk around it and get a sense of its scale, in this case the ABL 16RR
Chinese manufacturer Fronteq
JLG hosted its evening event at the Landgoed Kasteel de Hoogenweerth
The atmosphere was lively with a good number attending
The company also hosted a quiz with football shirts up for grabs
