Italian low-level aerial lift manufacturer Axolift will launch a 4.9 metre self-propelled dual deck scissor lift at Apex in Maastricht, the Netherlands this week. The company’s first outdoor rated model.
The new P300X has a working height of 4.95 metres with its 240-250kg maximum platform capacity and weighs just under 500kg, according to the company, while the overall width is 765mm, overall length 1.29 metres, and stowed height 1.8 metres. The lift also features dual 300mm platform extensions, taking the maximum platform length to 1.76 metres. The 24 volt battery is said to provide up to eight hours of typical operation.
The P300X looks to be targeting Bravi's Leonardo HD
Standard features include a battery indicator, forklift pockets, 35 percent gradeability and an active pothole protection system.
Axolift said: “The P300X is a self-propelled scissor lift specifically designed for low-level access and built to withstand the demands of everyday on-site use. It provides double deck extension thanks to the central scissor mechanism, while maintaining compact dimensions and low weight.”
The first units are expected to ship in September.
Vertikal Comment
This looks like a very interesting new product with strong performance characteristics. It is clearly aimed to go head to head with the popular Bravi Leonardo HD, which has sold well in many markets over a long period and was subject to an upgrade in 2024.
The key difference is the lift mechanism - the Bravi uses a mast, while the Axolift a tripple scissor stack. The main benefit is that the Axolift has a totally clear platform - while some of the Bravi platform space is taken up with the top box section of the mast. The downside of the Axolift design is a higher lowered platform height, roughly 725mm vs just under 650mm on the Bravi.
It is possible that with another company promoting this style of machine, the overall market will grow faster and Bravi may actually benefit? We'll see.
