Gromet / Axolift to work with Munk

Axolift and its parent manufacturer Gromet have agreed a product branding and development deal with German ladder and scaffold manufacturer and supplier Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, part of the 125 year old Bavarian based Munk Group.

The agreement will see Gromet to develop new low level aerial work platforms under Munk’s FlexxLift brand, which Munk will distribute in Germany and Austria.

The range will kick off with modified and customised versions of Axolift’s four metre Manulift 200 manually operated pusharound mast type platforms, and may later progress to small self-propelled masts and scissor lifts. Most likely along the same lines as the manufacturer already does for Pop-Up in the UK. You will see the first fruits of this agreement at Apex this week.

Chief executive Ferdinand Munk said: "With Gromet/Axolift, we have found a partner who shares our commitment to quality and innovation. Together, we are taking FlexxLift to the next level and giving our customers more options for working safely at height.”

Munk group director Alexander Werdich added: "FlexxLift stands for a safe solution to reach elevated positions easily - whether working on machinery, buildings, vehicles, mobile equipment, or lighting systems. With the new aerial work platforms, we are closing a real gap in the market - for everyone who wants to move beyond ladders without sacrificing flexibility."

Gromet chief executive, Massimo Grossele said: "Munk is the ideal partner for the German speaking market. Munk knows its customers and understands their requirements - and those insights feed directly into our development. This is how we create products that work in practice and deliver real added value - for trade, industry, and ultimately for everyone who works safely at height."
