Dutch tracked boom lift manufacturer Hyrax has appointed Bradleys Construction as an authorised dealer in the UK.
The move follows Bradleys’ display of a 35ft Hyrax 27.12 self-levelling self-propelled boom lift on its stand at ScotPlant in Edinburgh earlier this year.
The diesel powered ATD 27.12 features a two section boom topped by a heavy duty jib with 180 degrees of articulation for a working height of 12.6 metres and an outreach of 8.7 metres with 80kg in the platform, while the maximum platform capacity of 270kg is available at up to 6.75 metres outreach. The machine can operate on slopes of up to 15 degrees and an overall stowed width of 1.75 metres, extending to 2.2 metres on site. Total weight is just under 3,500kg, allowing it to be transported on a standard equipment trailer.

Bradleys was established by owners, Martin and Heather Bradley in 2010 and is based in Wigan, northern England. The company offers a range of products with low ground bearing pressures, mostly tracked equipment, and is the sole UK dealer for Prinroth tracked self-propelled carriers, which are often matched with a crane or aerial work platform superstructure.
It has sold its first Hyrax, the ATD 27.12, to Farmplus Constructions, which will become the first Hyrax to go to work in the UK.Farmplus Constructions is based in Preston, near Manchester, and designs and manufactures timber farm buildings, including general buildings, clearspan structures and cow kennels.
Hyrax owner Caspar van Woerden said: "Entering the UK market is a milestone we have been working towards. Construction and rental companies here face the same challenges as our customers in the Netherlands, other European countries, the USA and Canada, including difficult terrain, tight job sites, and the need to move equipment efficiently between locations. The Hyrax 27.12 was built for exactly that. We look forward to growing alongside our UK partners."
Hyrax will also exhibit at Vertikal Days in September, where visitors will have a chance to try a Hyrax lift for themselves. The company’s range also includes plug-in hybrid and fully electric models.
