Franna pick & carry cranes has appointed Vinay Kittur as regional sales manager for the Middle East. He joins the company from JLG where he has fulfilled a similar role for the past three years. He will be responsible for expanding Franna's presence in the region and promoting its articulated pick & carry crane concept.
Kittur began his career in 2010 as divisional head of sales and marketing for oil & gas company Bhatia Brothers, moving to the crane industry in 2017 as an area sales manager with Demag, which at the time was still owned by Terex. Six years later, he took on a similar role with Konecranes leaving for JLG after nine months.
Vinay Kittur Jaideep Shekhar, the new managing director of Terex India said: “The Middle East represents an important growth market for Franna and forms a key part of our long term international strategy. The appointment of Vinay will help us strengthen relationships with customers and distributors while accelerating awareness of the unique benefits that Franna cranes can deliver."
Kittur added: “I am excited to join Franna because this role allows me to help change the way people think about lifting and cranes. My focus will be on building the right distribution network across the region and working closely with them to increase awareness of the productivity, safety and efficiency benefits that Franna cranes can bring to customer operations.”
“My vision is to see Franna represented across every major sector in the region and to establish the brand as the first choice for pick & carry crane applications. I am confident that once customers experience their capabilities firsthand, they will recognise the significant value they can deliver, whether in oil and gas, mining, construction, assembly or steel erection applications."
