Mammoet takes over Convoi divisions

Schiedam-based heavy lifting and transport specialist Mammoet yesterday acquired Convoi’s Lifting work and Maintenance Support divisions. About 125 Convoi staff will join Mammoet and 75 cranes will be added to its fleet.
Convoi remaining 400 empolyees employees based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Slovakia will now concentrate on industrial and project removals.

Mammoet says that the Lifting work and Maintenance Support of Convoi is a good fit with the core activities of the company. Mammoet was already active in the south of Netherlands but is strengthening its position and will provide further opportunities for growth in Belgium and the German Ruhr region.

The acquired divisions will be known as Mammoet Zuid bv, using the existing premises in Geleen, Stein, and Venlo and in a completely new building in Etten Leur.
The employees involved in the acquisition were informed about the takeover at the beginning of December.
