LJ Group appoints new safety director

Rhode Island-based LJ group of companies has appointed Robert A Renzi as Director of Safety and Training.
According to Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Paul Fioravanti, “LJ is pleased to have Bob Renzi join our organization. Bob is a twenty one year veteran of the construction equipment industry and served more than 15 years in sales and safety roles of increasing responsibility with Shaughnessy Crane Service of Boston. We place the highest emphasis on employee, worksite, workplace and equipment safety and Bob will expand our program and compliance monitoring as we continue to grow.”

After serving several years as Director of Safety for Northstar Equipment, Renzi became an independent safety consultant and has conducted numerous training programs and seminars throughout the United States.

Comprising LJ Crane & Rigging, LJ Heavy Hauling and, LJ Specialised Logistics, the LJ Group has grown nearly 500 percent over the last three years, and has been listed on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in 2006 and 2007.
