The Custom Hy-Brid HB1430 self propelled scissor lift

Steve Kissinger, owner of Custom Equipment said: “When Custom Equipment formulated its expansion plan into the western United States, Ahern Rentals reputation as a strong distribution partner immediately came to mind. Our relationship with Don Ahern and Ahern Rentals will provide construction contractors with immediate access to our lighter weight aerial scissor lifts.”

Custom is based in Richfield, Wisconsin and currently offers two models, the HB-1030, a 10 ft platform height self propelled scissor lift height weighing 550kgs and the HB-1430, a 14 ft model weighing 760kgs. Both units feature roll out deck extensions, a low stowed platform height, dual motor drive and electric steering. The machines have been popular working on upper levels, including work on poured concrete structures which can greatly reducing the overall construction cycle time.

Ahern has annual revenues in the region of $340 million of which over 85 percent is rental income.
