Conexpo opens today

Conexpo 2008 opens today with a record number of visitors expected, over 126,000 have pre-registered and more are expected.

A quick preliminary look around the stands yesterday did not reveal too many surprises. Link Belt probably has the most to shout about when it comes to cranes, with its new 500 ton crawler crane - the 548. The first of this, the largest crawler crane that Link Belt has ever produced has been sold to Marco Crane & Rigging.

The company’s largest AT the ATC 3250 built by Tadano Faun, is also in display along with a new three Axle Rough Terrain crane, the RTC 80130 and a new 120 tonne HTC-3140LB telescopic truck crane.
