New director for Clements

Coventry, UK, based Clements Plant & Tool Hire has promoted Tony Stokes to business development director effective May first.

Stokes, 51, joined Clements last May as business development manager with intention to become a director within the first 12 months if all went well. Since then Clements says it has seen significant growth in revenues and profitability.

Jim Longstaff Clements managing director and one of the two partners in the January 2007 MBO, said: “Tony has been in the industry for a number of years and has a great reputation and the effort he has put into the business has been tremendous. The intention is that he will also become a shareholder in the business in the near future.”

Stokes added: “I am delighted in the promotion and like what Jim and the team are doing. We have a lot to go after and feel we can make a significant impact in the Midlands. We are investing in new equipment and transport and my first task will be to recruit a sales executive and hire controller.”
