Under bridge Sprinter makes it three

Queensland, Australia, based access rental company, Lincon has taken delivery of its third Barin Under-bridge inspection platform, an ABC60 mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.

The new unit joins two larger Barin under-bridge units including an AB22/B2T basket or bucket type under-bridge unit, the largest of this type of under-bridge platform currently in production with 22 metres of horizontal reach, mounted on a Scania 8x4 chassis.

More recently the company acquired a Barin ABC 160/180, also mounted on a Scania 8x4 chassis, with a platform that extends under the bridge by up to 16 metres.
The new ABC60 is of the same concept, but is targeted at smaller bridges and access roads as the two larger models have Gross Vehicle Weights of over 33 tonnes. The new ABC weighs just over four tonnes.
