Crane Safety 2004 - preliminary programme announced

Cranes Today, organisers of Crane Safety 2004, has released preliminary details of next year’s conference being held at the Thistle Tower Hotel, London on the 21 and 22 of June.

The two-day conference will be home to various discussions that will address human factors, man management and operational issues, while a number of ‘break-up’ workshop sessions will address technology, engineering and technical issues for specific sectors of the lifting industry.


General sessions will include;

Lift planning – Bryan Cronie, Mammoet corporate safety director.

Data logging technology and crane maintenance – Klaus Meissner, Terex-Demag technical director.

Risk management in maintenance planning – Richard Myhre, National Oilwell

The crane owner’s perspective – Martin Ainscough, Ainscough Crane Hire.

Management of safety on site – Nigel Howard, MPS.

Spotting potential in operators – Paul Freedman, Simlog.
