Boom traps man

A 41 year old man was killed after being struck and pinned by a boom he was trying to remove from a crane he was working on at Lake Weleetka, in Okfuskee County near Tulsa, Oklahoma Yesterday.

The man, Lucio Reyes, was working on the crane along with several other men trying to free up the boom, when it came free striking him and then trapping him. He died at the scene from massive head injuries.

Reports are still vague, we can not be certain if the men were simply stripping out a lattice boomed crane or taking off a telescopic boom for transport or repair.
