The Eagle has landed

Dubai International Airport has purchased an Oil&Steel Eagle S4230 truck platform for its maintenance fleet. Dubai International is now the world’s seventh busiest international airport. The unit was sold by Oil&Steel’s new dealer in the United Arab Emirates, Al Laith Scaffolding, which was appointed last summer.

The Eagle S 4230 has a 42 metre maximum working height and 30 metres maximum outreach and is installed on a 26 tonne Iveco Stralis chassis.
The platform is equipped with the new Live Work System, which Oil&Steel says increases operator safety. The telecommunication system operates in real time and allows the operator to communicate between the basket and the ground control station with a webcam and a fixed microphone.

It is also possible to transmit images and sound over any distance in real time, for example, to request advice while working in the basket without having to descend.

“This important deal for us,” says Andrea Certo, CEO of Oil&Steel, “and carried out together with Al Laith Scaffolding, underlines the positive feeling of the market over Eagle S series platforms and the important success gained internationally .”
