Vertikal Comment

The launch of a copy of the UpRight Speed Level is a bold move on MEC’s part, the original UpRight patents and registrations are now over 18 years old and have possibly expired? MEC which operates from part of the old UpRight Selma production facility is jointly headed by David White, who was employed in the UpRight engineering team when the original Speed Level was introduced.

The company says that its Speed Level has no connection with the UpRight product, and that it has essentially taken the general concept and improved on it. Still a bold move that will of course attract a good deal of attention.
