JLG pulls out of Intermat

Aerial lift and telehandler company JLG has pulled out of Intermat, this year’s international equipment exhibition in Paris. The company has also said that it will not be attending SED, the UK general equipment show.

Wayne Lawson JLG’s managing director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East region said: “It was a difficult decision to step away from Intermat. However, during this period of market stagnation, we believe the right decision is to focus our resources on activities which directly support our customers such as technical support, field service, training and online services."

!We remain committed to our customers in the rental, construction agricultural and industrial markets. They are going through very tough times at the moment and we will be their staunch partner throughout the downturn.”

JLG’s decision follows that of Manitou and Terex which pulled out in January. The show will though still be attended by most of the large crane manufacturers, while Haulotte will now be the leading access company exhibiting.
