Terex appoints Scotia

Scotia Plant (part of the Ballyvesey Group) has been appointed as a regional distributor for Terex Construction compact equipment, covering the Scottish borders from Forfar in the East and Fort William in the West.

Product lines on offer will include: The Genie telehandler range, dumpers, backhoe loaders, rollers, excavators, wheeled loaders, mixers, and compaction plates.

Managing director Simon Gamble said: "We are delighted that Terex has chosen our company as the distributor for the region. We are fully focused and intend to meet the aspirations of growth expected by the Terex organisation.”

“We have appointed Martin Webb as our general manager who has many years of experience in equipment sales. He has many local contacts and will receive full financial and operational support from the Ballyvesey Group and its associated companies. We are delighted to have him as part of the senior management team.”

The Ballyvesey group is based in Northern Ireland and owns Sleater Plant the Terex dealer for the province, along with Southern Plant in England which handles Terex in London and the south. The company has also set up Sky Platforms as a division of Southern Plant, to sell new and used access equipment.
