SkyHigh appoints Grant Plant

Belgium based aerial lift manufacturer, Sky High, has appointed Grant Plant as the distributor for its complete line of boom lifts in the UK and Ireland. Scunthorpe based Grant Plant is part of the group which includes, Grant rail, Grant Weld, Matrix Power and ALH Rail coatings.

A Sky High 120 at work in Grant Plant's workshops

Grant and Sky High have had the self propelled Sky High ST 120 Rail certified and approved to Rail Safety & Standards Board RIS-1530-PLT by Interfleet Technology, a Vehicle Acceptance Body. .

The two companies will display the road/rail mounted boom lift at the international Railtex 2009 exhibition in London from 10th March. Sky High has also decided to develop an additional rail unit during 2009, the 11 metre 1100 model mounted on light weight trailer.

The unit at work

SkyHigh produces a range of trailer mounted, vehicle mounted and self propelled lifts, including a number of special products, such as the 120 Rail and a number of explosion proof units. It has made a couple of runs at the UK market in the past with some minor success but so far never managed to penetrate rental fleets.
