JLG Training goes online

JLG has developed an on-line training and training management system to deliver training to JLG customers, which it has dubbed LMS for Learning Management System. In addition to taking on-line training courses, customers can also maintain their training history for both on-line and classroom based courses.

Todd Truax, JLG Industries director of training said: “On-line training is the fastest growing venue for training in education and business. JLG’s on-line Training offers a convenient and effective means for our customers to build their skills and knowledge in a variety of functional areas pertinent to their business. On-line training reduces travel expense, time away from work and enhances the learning experience.”

JLG LMS online training courses

JLG currently has four courses available online:
• Basic Electric
• Basic Hydraulic
• Warranty Fundamentals (warranty policy)
• Service Bench (warranty system)

The company plans to develop and expand its on-line training to complement its existing instructor-led courses. These courses will benefit from having an on-line component taken as a prerequisite to make the time spent at a JLG Training Course more efficient with increased hands-on time and instructor interaction. In the future, JLG’s On-line Training program will include sales training and training record management.

For those wishing to register for JLG’s On-line Training, it is necessary to contact the JLG training department to request the Learning Management URL, User ID and Password. The Warranty courses are offered free-of-charge, while the Basic Electric and Basic Hydraulic courses can be taken for $150 each or combined for $199.
