More changes at Ainscough

Ainscough, the UK’s largest crane rental company has announced further management changes and confirmed the departure of Grant Mitchell, sales director southern region and heavy cranes ‘to pursue other interests’.

Effective this week the company has combined its Northern and Southern regions into a national sales team, under the leadership of George Kesterton, previously sales director for the northern region.

At the same time, Steve Wathen, previously Heavy Cranes general manager, has been promoted to commercial director, heavy cranes reporting to Kesterton.

Mitchell joined Ainscough after it acquired Baldwins Industrial Services in 2002, where he had been a director and a member of the Management Buy Out team that was outbid by Ainscough. He has managed the heavy cranes and southern region crane hire businesses until his departure earlier this week.
