Hertz Equipment down 35%

Hertz Equipment Rental, the North American based rental company, has reported first half revenues of $556.5 million, a decline of almost 35 percent. In the second quarter sales were down 37.5 percent to $277 million.

Hertz Equipment posted a pre-tax loss off $26.5 million the first six months, compared to a profit of $91.6 million.

The second quarter was better with a loss of just $1.7 million, compared to a profit of $52.2 million in 2008.
