SED breaks record for attendance

SED 2004 last week posted a 9.5% increase in attendance figures compared with 2003. The three-day event at Fen Farm, Milton Keynes, attracted 19,500 visitors - some 1,800 more than last year, attendance claimed is subject to an Audit

Three days of superb weather helped pull in extra visitors with a reasonable number of Crane and access attendees in spite of a few absentees among the exhibitors.

Nationwide Access won the SED Best Newcomer Award, presented to the exhibitor with the most eye-catching stand and the most effective display in the demonstration area. The judges found its stand to be "a real crowd puller and a realistic, well organised stand, which showed the potential of Nationwide's equipment." The company not ony attracted a good number of visitors with its formula one competition, but also carried out live IPAF operator training courses each day.

The Cranes&Access stand and the Hiab Vertikal Challenge was busy throughout the show. For more details don't miss the June/July issue of Cranes&Access
