Charity matters
While the current slowdown continues to put companies under pressure, it has not stopped their charitable efforts and good works.
On Friday the town of Guildford, Surrey, UK, held its 'White Butterfly Ball' in aid of the Parkinson's Disease Society. Access specialist Working At Height sponsored the event this year as part of its ongoing commitment to raising funds for research for a cure.
Working At Height says that it plans to continue to support the Parkinson's Disease Society throughout 2010, and is willing to talk to anyone who might be interest in helping the charity on +44 (0)1483 415410. Information can also be found on the Society’s web sitelink[http://www.parkinsons.org.uk](www.parkinsons.org.uk)
Another UK company helping raise funds and awareness for charity is Aerial Platforms which is sponsoring For A Better Life with Epilepsy - ‘FABLE’. The company is fitting certain machines in its fleet with a large board promoting the charity. The latest to go out is a new 18 metre JLG-Liftlux 180-12.
