Vertikal Comment

The Dutch market for mini and spider cranes is still in its infancy with crane rental companies tending to stay with mobile cranes and larger crawlers. Some of this is may be down to the operator licensing rules which require users of all but the very smallest units to have a full crane operators license?

However in several markets across Europe powered access companies have proven to be more adept at selling the mini crane concept- both at the sales and rental level - than mobile crane companies. Possibly due to the fact the powered access market still requires the selling of a concept- a different way of working - as well as the product or service.

The mobile crane rental market on the other hand is a mature business, any customer knows that they need a crane and simply make their choice based on price, service or by consulting the yellow pages. With a mix of excavators aerial lifts and cranes and some strong contacts with contractors Kemp could play a major role in developing the Dutch market for spider cranes.
