Lifterz passes 400
UK based access rental company Lifterz of Wakefield Yorkshire, has taken delivery of a batch of Genie booms and scissor lifts that takes its fleet up over the 400 unit mark for the first time.
The new platforms include 19ft/5.9m GS1932 and 32ft/10m GS3232 narrow aisle electric scissor lifts and Z45/25Bi-Enegy articulated boom lifts. The 12 new Genies join new Holland Lift electric scissor lifts, Power Tower and Youngman Boss X3 push around lifts, JLG 3246 32ft/10m and Iteco electric scissor lifts.
The new machines represent products for which demand and therefore utilisation is currently high and take the company’s fleet to 412 units.

Ben Bowers, director and co-owner of Lifterz said: “Business is very good right now and utilisation on quite a few lines is uncomfortably high. Things looked pretty awful in January and February but activity has really improved since. We are now on a campaign of trying to move hire rates in the direction they need to go.”
Fellow director Malcolm Bowers added: “Funding constraints are still making growth challenging but since Patrick Leoni Sceti came on board as finance director we have been able to open a few more doors. His background in banking has brought a level of experience which has really benefitted Lifterz.”
It's good to see that Lifterz are leading the way when it comes to rate improvements for the industry, long may this continue. I look forward to their continued efforts in this area with relish
