Blueline Rental acquires Trico Lift

US based Blueline Rental – previously Volvo Rents and now owned by Platinum Equity - has agreed the acquisition of New Jersey based aerial lift rental specialist Trico Lift.

No details of the deal have been released, but the Trico senior management team is expected to stay with the business. Trico runs a fleet of aerial lifts and telehandlers across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and has two locations in Texas.

BlueLine chief executive Phil Hobson said: “Trico is a very complementary business for us that will strengthen our aerial fleet mix and capabilities, provide access to a valuable new customer base in key regions, and position us well for future growth. Our businesses are a good fit culturally as well, with a shared commitment to quality service and a determination to deliver on behalf of our customers. The combination brings many talented people together on the BlueLine team.”

Platinum Equity partner Louis Samson added: “We continue delivering on our promise to help BlueLine grow in a smart and strategic way. We are pursuing complementary, accretive add-on acquisitions that bring immediate synergies and strengthen our mix of equipment and customers. Trico is a great fit on all accounts.”

Platinum Equity acquired BlueLine from Volvo at the start of last year and added JustRuss Rentals of Alabama in September. See Blueline acquires Russ
