First pics of Palfinger P240A

We now have photographs and technical details of Palfinger Platforms’ new 24 metre P240A truck mounted lift, unveiled at a Christmas themed open day in Löbau, Germany.

Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Renault Maxity with a vehicle length of 5.39 metres, the P240A has a working height of 23.2 metres and a maximum outreach of 10.2 metres. The platform capacity is 230kg, while the upper controls include an engine stop-start function, a 230 volt socket and a water or air connection. An optional insulated platform is also available.

The open day also included tours of the company’s production facility and state-of-the art paint shop as well as a talk from Palfinger’s product manager, Yves Schleßiger, who discussed the developments of the P230 and P300 as well as the technical difficulties of the new Euro 6 chassis.

Visitors were also able to view other products on show including the P200A, P140T and the 90 metre P900.

It appears to be a very fine machine, but I will never be a friend of those A-Type outriggers/stabalizers.
