Once the first unit arrives in the UK, Crowland plans further testing, as well as making the crane available for potential buyers to visit and put it through its paces while providing feedback on the numerous changes over the original model.
The crane’s 35 tonne rating is at 2.5 metres radius, and it will take 1,100 kgs out to 28 metres. The new crane boasts a full power 40 metre main boom plus eight metre under slung fly jib, with three offset positions.
