Smart Ascendant Van mount

UK based self drive vehicle mounted lift specialist Smart Platform Rental, has purchased its first Ascendant platform, an A12.5VM van mounted lift.

The order is also thought to be the first one that Smart has ever placed with a UK manufacturer. The 12.5 metre A12.5VM is mounted on a 3.5 tonne Ford Transit Chassis.

Smart Platform spokesman Guy Willett said that Smart was impressed with the simplicity of the design, operation and maintenance of the Ascendant unit together with its excellent unladen weight which provides a payload of 450kgs.

While the technical benefits advantages were important, the back up of a local manufacturer was also a consideration.

Smart is currently looking at expanding its product range and is also looking at Land-Rover based lifts and is understood to have purchased it first unit from an Anglo Italian exhibitor at the recent Vertikal Days event.
