IPAF opens new premises
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) officially opened its new headquarters in Cumbria, England yesterday.

A group of around 40 guests and staff including three past presidents and Paul Adorian the federation’s first managing director, attended the ceremony to formally open the new building which has been occupied by the staff for almost six weeks.

Tim Whiteman welcomes guests to the opening
Current managing director Tim Whiteman said a few words about the new premises and what they mean to IPAF, followed by immediate past president John Ball, who had been involved with the purchase of the new building.

Located within a mile of the M6 motorway, the new building is purpose built for IPAF and includes large open plan offices, high speed data links and a video conferencing suite.
Prior to cutting the ribbon Shaughnessy confirmed that IPAF’s application for mutual status had been approved allowing surplus funds to be invested back into the federation’s efforts to improve safety while working at height.
