Hertz buys Italian power business

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation has acquired Rent One Italy, a leading Italian generator/mobile power rental company providing power to telecom and event companies throughout Italy.

The company, which has its Headquarters in Casole d'Elsa, Siena, will join the Hertz Energy Services Division within its European business.
Founded in 2007, Rent One had 2009 revenues of €2.7 million, the purchase price has not been disclosed.

Hertz Equipment president Gerry Plescia, said: "Rent One Italy has a solid reputation in the telecom and events industry and the acquisition is a great fit with our energy services division. The deal supports Hertz's strategy of diversifying its energy services division into new regions while providing Hertz access to telecom and event customers needing power generation and climate equipment."
