Custers appoints Hi-Lift

Dutch based access equipment manufacturer Custers Hydraulica of Venray, has appointed Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, based Hi-Lift Access as its UK distributor.

Hi-Lift which currently offers a full range of access services, including new and used equipment sales and rental – with a focus on Teupen spider lifts and Ruthmann truck mounts, will start with Custers non powered products, including:
-Folding scaffold bases
-Painters scaffold - to 31 metres in length
-Platforms and footbridges
-Roof/window scaffold
-Roof edge protection systems
-Alloy span scaffold towers – up 12 metres
-Stairway towers

The company also has plans to offer products from the Custers powered access range including trailer and truck mounted lifts and a single tracked unit for forestry work. Custers also recently announced an all electric truck/van mounted lift, the Taurus 265-12.5E.

Custers was established as a company in 1901 and was part of SGB between 1977 and 1995 which the management team acquired the business through an MBO. It has been in the powered access market since 1962 when it built its first truck mounted lifts. It started offering scaffold products in the early 1980’s
