E.S. Access Platforms

North East England based truck mounted aerial lift rental specialist E.S.Access Platforms is in discussions with a recovery specialist regarding the restructuring of its debts and has been placed into administration.

A winding up petition has been filed against the company by at least one of its creditors. The date for this has been postponed until November 3rd. In the meantime the company has appointed P&A partnership, the Sheffield-based insolvency practitioners and recovery specialists.

Calls to the company yesterday asking to speak with one of the Hunwick family, which own the business, were not returned and today calls are not being taken. A call to P&A yesterday confirmed that they had been appointed and that Kerry Kosowski was handling the case.

Vertikal Comment

E.S.Access Platforms has been run by Bernadette Hunwick since the untimely death of husband Keith in June 2008.

The business has been struggling for the past year or so, but had seemed to have improved a little and the accounts it filed early this year showed an improvement in its balance sheet.

Sadly we have been unable to reach any of the Hunwicks for a comment or to obtain their side of what is happening, during what must be a very trying time.

We do not like to publish such information without having spoken to the principles or the administrators or at the very least until any such action is published in the official gazette, but in this case we are receiving so many calls and/or emails on this subject that once we were able to confirm that P&A had been appointed felt we had no choice buy to go ahead and publish what we know.

We will of course update this report when we hear anything more

Update 1. We have heard that the company appointed an adminstrator this morning and that the Manchester office of Charterfields has been appointed with Matt Lyons the key contact.

UpDate 2. The business has been placed into adminstration with P&A Partnership and they are likely to cease trading. Matt Lyons of Charterfields has been appointed to dispose of the assets.
