Big Ecostar from Holland Lift
Holland Lift is adding two 39ft/12m platform height models to its new compact Ecostar scissor lift range.
The new models, the 11812 and 11816 use the same components as the other Ecostar units, which aim to bring Holland Lift quality to the mini scissor lift market at a price that does not frighten buyers off.
The 11812 is a 1.2 metre wide 2.49 metre long model with similar dimensions to 26 and 32ft platform height - 46 inch wide scissor lifts offered by all of the major self-propelled manufacturers.

However it includes an extra scissor stack to provide the almost 40ft platform height, essentially Holland lift has taken its 32ft (9.7m) model and added a heavier duty scissor stack to the base.
The 11812 goes head to head with similar products offered by Iteco and Haulotte. The Holland lift features a 3.3ft/1 metre roll-out platform extension and 300kg platform capacity on both the main deck and the extension. Overall weight is 3,200 kgs.
Compared to its two competitors the Holland lift is very similar statistically although the Haulotte has a 350 kg lift capacity, is 4mm shorter and 30kgs lighter – all within the margin of error. The Iteco though is 150mm longer, and a full 800kgs heavier but includes an outdoor rating and a 1.4 metre platform extension.
The 11816 is similar to the 11812, but has an unrestricted outdoor rating thanks to its wider chassis at 1.65 metres (65 inches). It also has a wider platform to match the wider chassis, all other components are the same. Capacity remains at 300kgs and the machine is a similar weight at 3,250kgs.
The Ecostar range which was unveiled in April at this year’s Bauma, also includes two 24ft/7.9 metre platform height models and two 32ft/9.7 metre models. The new range has had a very successful launch and has helped Holland Lift bring new customers to the brand, while persuading existing customers to shift from more expensive models.
Vertikal Comment
Holland Lift started the Ecostar project with a piece of white paper with the target to design a lower cost model that did not sacrifice any of the heavy duty, quality characteristics that it has built its current reputation on. From feedback we have picked u it appears to have succeeded. These two new models should help build on this success.
